So I finally completed that listing check I mentioned a few months ago. I sent out quite a few e-mails to people about invalid URLs or no visible link back. For those of you I contacted, I need you to somehow respond by December 18th, 2009. After that day I will delete any outstanding listings.
Also I plan to change the user panel from PHP to ASP eventually. I’m most likely going to be learning ASP for fun during the next school term so and to test out my knowledge I will use this site. If I change the user panel it will be more secure and I will probably add more functionality like changing your username.
And once the listings have been updated later this month I think we are going to set up either a Site of the Month sort of thing, or a contest to improve site hits and get more listings.

So now that the user panel is open, I came online today and checked to see whose updated their passwords and screenshots.
Weird thing is, A LOT of passwords have been made blank and I have no clue why. So I’m going to send an e-mail to those whose passwords turned blank to see what they did in order to do that. I think it’s probably a special character that the form isn’t handling. But really, I have no clue. o_o I’m going to do some investigation.
SO if you’re having trouble logging in and you’ve changed your password I’m going to change it back to what we had before. Sorry about this inconvenience guys.
EDIT: I think I may have found the problem. In the edit listing page for some reason I put in a call to update the password when you didn’t even have the password listed there. Hopefully this fixes the issue.

Alright, fanupdate has now been installed onto the site which means no more spam! An e-mail has been sent out to everyone who is currently listed about username and passwords for the user panel. If you haven’t received it please contact either Angela or I. Basically you can edit everything already listed but now we’ve added a screenshot capability!
For the screenshot we would prefer it if you took out your start bar and the title bars so that all that the user can see is your webpage, but really anything is fine as long as its a screenshot of your site and it’s not offensive or anything. The width of the screenshot is fixed at 60% of the content width. So your screenshot can be ANY size, just keep in mind the proportions. You should probably preview it in your user panel to make sure that it doesn’t look messed up or anything.
The user panel allows you to edit your information, but you still cannot create or delete your listings. So you still need to e-mail Angela or I about those things over at eoe@skys-content.com.
Also Angela and I have had ideas of a contest so keep an eye out for that in the future. Thanks for being listed!
